Příjmení Jára je historicky odvozeno od křestního jména Jaroslav. Původní význam jména Jaroslav nemá nic společného s oslavou jara, jak by logicky vyplývalo, ale naopak toto staroslovanské jméno je složeno ze slov “jaryj” a “slav”. Slovo jaryj znamená ve staroslovanštině “prudký, vznětlivý, silný, tvrdý i přísný”. To znamená nositel jména Jaroslav, Jára byl slavný svou silou případně tvrdostí (nikoli natvrdlostí ba i vznětlivost je nositelům příjmení Jára cizí – pozn.autora).
Berní rula byla vyhotovena za vlády Ferdinanda III. Habsburského (vládl 1637-57), tedy nedlouho po skončení třicetileté války. Soupis pozemků, poddanských (rustikálních) usedlostí, z nichž se platila berně neboli kontribuce, a poddaných na našem území vycházel z vrchnostenských přiznání z roku 1654.
